Cesvaine Castle Complex

The first document mentioning Cesvaine, a charming town in Vidzeme, is from 1209. Since that time, ancient Lettgalian forts, a medieval archbishop's stone fortress, and the most recently built castle, have graced the picturesque landscape. Built at the end of the nineteenth century by Adolf von Wulf, the new castle complex, an excellent example of historical eclecticism, includes stables, the forester's house, greenhouses, a brewery, park, and teahouse and more.

The interior of the castle will be open to the public during June 2020. Please reserve your visit in advance - T. +371 26172637!!!
